Hi people

I bumped into Hong Shen last Monday and he informed me of Tian Shen's condition. I am deeply saddened by the news and have been thinking about him since that day. I intend to visit him this coming week, most probably Tue or Wed (3rd or 4th Nov). Just wondering if any of you want to join me... It will be great if we can go as a class (1E1-2E1). I am sure he will appreciate it. Also, at a time like this, he needs lots of motivation. It is definitely not easy for him so let's try our best to give him that support. What say you???

Also, I intend to do a scrapbook for him. This scrapbook will contain the messages you have for him and also, loads of pictures. So this is what I need from each and everyone of you... get a nice piece of paper, write something nice for him, do spur him on and motivate him in your message. It is nice also if you can write about the happy times you had with him. Pass the messages to me on Monday when you come for your Leap. If you have nice pictures of you and him, do pass to me also. OK????

I also need help with the scrapbook. Any volunteers? Let's work on this together as a class shall we? Yes, we might not be together as a class anymore but the 2E1 spirit still lingers on right???

Hi everybody! Glad to see all of you last Monday, I miss you! hehe..

I hope you are satisfied and happy with the class allocated to you. For those who are disappointed, you can send an appeal letter but like I said, the school has done all it could to accommodate your requests but a lot of factors have to be taken into consideration before the allocation is done.

The thing is.... no matter which class you go to, just be positive and work hard for the next two years. Do your best to achieve the best O level results. You can do it!!

I was so delighted to see everybody wearing the class tee today. We looked really united and our tee is pretty cool, eh? Well, I'm proud of our tee!! hehe

Just a reminder....Please take very good care of your tee. Do take note of the washing instructions... hand wash if possible and remember to reverse the tee first.

Well, we have almost come to the end of the term and I hope the tee is a sweet remembrance of what we have gone through together. I hope you will always remember each and every member of the 2e1 family. One thing for sure, I will never forget all of you. After almost 2 years, I have grown fond of each and everyone of you.

Don't know why I have become so sentimental suddenly. Must be the holiday mood..LOL... Anyway, enjoy the hols!

Hey everybody

First of all, I think the captain's ball girls played very well today! It really doesn't matter that we didn't win anything. Remember that you did well enough to get into the finals so that itself is an achievement!!! And you came in third! So that counts for something right!

Whatever it is, I am proud of you girls. After losing the first match, all of you were frustrated and demoralised but hey, you picked yourselves up and proved that you are not to be trampled with and you gave your best! You showed others the 2e1 spirit! Never give up! E1 E1 E1 gooo!! ;-)

Yes, on National Day, all of us are allowed to wear red tees so since most of you are eager to wear the tees on that day, the tees will be red in colour. Initially, we wanted to have them in black but I see so many classes having black tees so we shall have an outstanding colour! Hehehe

I was just informed of the amount of $$ each stall earned during the Charity Bazaar and guess what????? We earned the most!!!! $782!!!! Woohoo!! Most of the stalls earned $200-$400++ so we earned quite a sum!!!

And that figure is reflective of all your hard work and sweat! All of you worked really hard and I hope you feel proud of yourself. One thing for sure, I am proud of all of you!! What's more, like I said earlier, it's all for a good cause...

So 3 cheers for 2E1!! Hip Hip Hurray!!

Charity Bazaar

I know I have not posted anything for over a month now. Sorry ok, I have been really busy. I'm supposed to give Diyana the password so that she can post entries. Diyana, please remind me to give you the password so that you can address the class or you can post important information if I am too busy to do so.

OK, I hope all of you had fun yesterday. I was too busy to count the $$ but I think we earn quite a bit. It's ok if we do not earn the most but it's the whole learning process that counts (like what Siew Huey said). I hope you learn something from this charity bazaar. It's not easy to earn $$ right? We have to do some serious planning and work really hard to promote and sell our stuffs. It requires hard work indeed...

But I am so happy to see everybody working really, really hard and working well as a team too. That's most important. You guys were running around to get 'customers' and promote our stuffs and I see some shouting away to grab the attention of the 'customers'. Even those who had to help out at their CCA stations, worked really hard. Indeed, you worked hard from the beginning till the end...err...although most were slacking during the clean-up session... but then again, I understand, most of you were tired by the end of the bazaar.

Well, here are the pics we took. Again, thank you for working so hard. I am super, super proud of all of you! And remember, everything that we did is for a good cause. Good job!!!!!

PS: A special thank you to the parents who sponsored and prepared food for the bazaar.... Jerrold's dad for the hair products, Faiqah Banu's parents for the pasta and tuna and Fadhilah's mum for the jellies. And thank you to the parents who came and support us too... Hey there 2E1ers! Hope you've all had a wonderful holiday! I must say that I really enjoyed mine even though I do not have much of a holiday due to work commitments. Well, whatever time I have is spent with my superactive boy and I'm glad at least I get to bond with him for a couple of days!

Anyway, school starts tomorrow! I know most of you are going.... Arggghhhhh!! But well, life goes on, you can't expect the holidays to go on forever right??!!! hehe...

First of all, let me just say that I am soooooooo happy and proud that all of you make the effort to assemble early at the parade square. Good job!! Keep it up!! Did you see my wide smile and beaming face these two days?? Hehe...

You have two more papers to go so all the best ya!!!! After your exams, we will discuss about having a class outing during the June hols ok.

As for your class tees, I have approached several vendors and I am waiting for the quotations so hopefully we can get it done soon.

Bonding Session (BS)

Like I mentioned last Friday, we shall have some time to chit chat and discuss certain issues every Friday. I want to call this period Bonding Session or BS because like I mentioned, I am seldom in the class and I would really like to find out what's going on in the class. So do raise any concerns that you may have and we will talk about it. But don't expect me to bring pizzas every Friday. Once in a while I will give you all a treat ok. So again, don't treat this session as a chore but rather, a period for all of us to bond and raise our concerns.

I will raise two issues this Friday :

1) class tees - we will try and finalise design and colour. If you have your own designs in mind, do bring them and show us. I myself will bring one design to show you.

2) target for SA1 - we will discuss about class target and the treats awaiting you after exams..hehehe

And if you have any other issues, let me know ok! So, don't forget our BS this Friday!

Your concerns

I am glad that you are voicing your opinions and thoughts via the tagboard. Through the tagboard, I will be able to know your concerns regarding certain issues. I also hope that you will come and talk to me if you have any concerns or problems. We can try and work something out. A reminder though, I hope you will not start pointing fingers. For example, what makes you think that Mrs Mohinder is the one who came up with rules that you must clear your tables or that the doors must be locked immediately after the last period of the day?

Regarding the 'leaving the books under the tables' issue, like I mentioned earlier, it is part of the school rules that you must not leave anything under your tables. Please refer to the students' handbook under Class Regulations (Number 11). It is your responsibility to bring your books to school and back home thereafter. I mean, how do you study without your books?

Actually, I think that you have been 'too pampered' all this time and some of you even tend to chuck ALL your books under the tables. And I am not making stories ok! I have checked one of the 2E1er's bag before and was shocked to find a pencil case and maybe a t-shirt inside. NO BOOKS AT ALL! So where do you think were the books? Under the table of course! I am aware that not everybody is like this but some of you were taking advantage of the situation.

I remember when I was in secondary school, I had to carry big, bulky books too. Some books were even much thicker than yours! I remember carrying my big and thick Biology book to school and not to mention heavy books like Geography and History books too. This is part of school life. Some students are privileged because their schools are equipped with lockers. But most schools, like ours, are not, so we must adapt to the situation. And I think that it is part of character building. If you are letting a small issue such as bringing books to school affect or worry you so much, then I don't know how you are going to overcome other bigger problems that will come your way as you grow. Do think and reflect on this.

We have discussed about this last Friday and I have already agreed to help you out with the files. Again, you can place your subject files in the cupboard but do make sure the files are arranged neatly. Also, do let me know too if you need to keep things in there on a temporary basis, for example, if you have a project and you want to keep them in there for a few days until the presentation. But you must clear them as soon as the presentation is over. And do remember that you must get permission from me first.

So do give me feedback regarding this and before I end, I would like to thank Matthew and Wesley again for helping me tidy the cupboard and clear the stuffs under the tables last Friday. But it is your duty to make sure your own table is tidy and neat. Remember, your table tells a lot about your character! ;-)

First of all, let me apologise for the absence of entries. I have been telling myself to post more entries but am currently bogged down by so much work that I couldn't find the time to do so. My sincerest apologies.

I can see that you have been discussing about class tees. Once the design has been finalised, do let me know and I'll source out for vendors. Jaslyn, if you need help with the design, let me know ya and do keep me updated.

Btw, I have a suggestion.... You can also have all the names of the 2E1ers at the back, don't have to be full names, nicknames are fine too. Then years down the road, when you look at the tee again, you can recall everybody in the class (with much fondness, I hope). By printing the names, it makes the tee more 'personalised' too. Do give feedback regarding this.

Before I end, here is an important reminder:

As mentioned by Mrs Lee the other day, you are NOT ALLOWED to keep your books under your tables. Please clear your tables daily. I will do spot checks and if any books are spotted under the tables, I will confiscate those books. The classroom is not a storeroom and it is your responsibility to bring your books back.

Last Friday, right after the parade, an announcement was made by Mrs Mohinder Singh, regarding the switch of periods on Monday (18/02/08) and Tuesday (19/02/08). From what I gather, most of you did not hear the announcement (especially those involved in the parade) so I want to remind you of the switch.

On Monday, the last two periods, that is the RISE periods will be switched with Tuesday's periods 3 and 4. That means, on Tuesday, for periods 3 and 4, you will have RISE instead of the usual subjects that you have.

To simplify, on Monday, your last two periods will be Home Economics and Music. And on Tuesday, you will not have Home Economics and Music for periods 3 and 4, but instead, you will have RISE. Those who are reading this message, please remind your other friends of the change. Thank you!

The parade last Friday was impressive!!! I'm sure those involved trained very hard for it so a BIG round of applause for all of them! I want to praise the girls for making the effort to settle down earlier at the parade square but the boys have to put in more effort. It is important that you settle down at the parade square as fast as possible after the announcement is made so that I can mark your attendance promptly and accurately. Furthermore, it also reflects on your attitude. Do not take your own sweet time walking slowly from the canteen to the parade square.

Let me reiterate that I will continue to hold you back if you do not settle promptly. If you do not want to be treated like kids, do act responsibly. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS!

The Beginning...

This is my second entry for the year. First of all, just want to say that I am glad that I am your form teacher this year. I hope all of you will co-operate with me and together, we will make 2E1 the best and most envied class in East Spring Sec!! But this can only happen if we work together and stay united.

I just read the tag board and find that the seating arrangement is still causing unhappiness. I want you to know that unless you have a very good reason (for example, eyesight problems, etc) the seating arrangement STAYS. Most of you talk about loving the class and being united, so you should be able to adapt to the new seating arrangement. I want you to mix with different groups of people and help each other out. So I do not want to hear any more complaints. Get to know your partner and learn from one another.

Last Thursday, we have decorated the class. Good job!! I think that the class is much nicer and colourful now. Thank you everybody for doing your part. And Jaslyn and gang, thank you for coming up with the layout. But the class motto and class rules are still not up. Also, you have yet to decorate your individual tables. I will set aside some time tomorrow during RISE to finish these tasks so don't forget to bring the things you need.

OK, that's all for now. I really hope we will have a happy and productive year ahead of us! Three cheers for 2E1!!!! Hip hip hurray!!

Battlesite Tour

I'll start with the Battlesite Tour pics. Actually, I enjoyed the trip, hope you enjoyed it too. It was an educational tour and our guide, though over-enthusiastic (I know most of you were complaining), was very experienced and well-informed. I hope you listened to his many 'inside' stories, very interesting indeed.

I learnt a lot from the tour and the Bukit Chandu part was very sad. The disappointing part was that some of you were fooling around instead of using the opportunity to learn more about our past. I must say that I was very disappointed with the way the boys behaved in the theatre. You were too rowdy and disrespectful. The story was about the people who fought bravely for our country and there you were having fun instead of learning about their sacrifices. In the future, if you go on such trips, I hope you will show more respect.

And personally, after watching the moving story, I pray that history will not repeat itself. War not only kill many people but destroys families and hopes. I pray that we don't have to go through what our forefathers went through...

Hi 1E1!! Sorry, it has been quite a while since I wrote anything... Anyway, let me continue from where I left off....

The Infocomm competition at Temasek Poly... I was pretty disappointed that only Billy and Umaimah (from our class) turned up to support Bella and Yin Yin. But well, I guess most of you have something on so I don't blame you. I think most of you know that they clinched 2nd place!!!! Well done girls! So proud of both of you!

For your information, they will be receiving their medals from the principal before flag-raising on Friday morning so please support them and clap as loud as you can!! But no catcalls ok! I don't want you to be scolded by the DM!

And I hope you don't feel that I am giving them so much support because they are in my CCA, Infocomm Club...hehehehe... I support any competitions or events that our 1e1ers participate in... like our basketball boys or our Environment Club members who made a presentation during assembly. As long as I know that you are participating in certain events, rest assured you have my FULL support! So don't be shy to let me know ok! ;-)

Next....our beloved Mrs Low is back!!!!! I'm sure most of you are happy to see her. Me too!! That means I don't have so much work to do...hahaha.... But seriously, I am not complaining. I guess her absence presented the opportunity for me to get closer to all of you. Even though we only see each other during RISE, I feel that we have somehow bonded. *HUGZ*...kekeke

Nevertheless, it's really good to see her. Now, you have the attention and love from both teachers *WINKZ* And thanks to those who put up the huge heart card and banner for her. I think they are really nice and I'm sure she appreciates the gesture.

Even though we lost, I am soooooo proud of all of you!!!! Most of you claimed that the other classes cheated. I don't know about that but the most important thing is that, we played fair and didn't resort to any tricks! And I am so glad to see the strong camaraderie and unity that was displayed when we were doing the challenges...the stronger ones encouraging the weaker ones and I didn't see any finger-pointing. Yes, winning is not the only thing. Most important is that, we worked together and did our best! 3 cheers for 1e1!!! Hip Hip Hurray!!!!

Don't forget that this Thursday you have Drama during SFL. You'll finish late that day (around 3pm) so please remind your parents that you have to stay back in school for the programme. I'm sure you'll have a good time and you'll learn something too!

And also, don't forget that Friday is ACES Day and Teacher's Day. Here's the programe for that day... We'll celebrate ACES DAY for the first two periods. Please wear your PE t-shirt with your pants or skirts on that day. But you still have to bring your school shirt because after the challenges, you'll have to wear your full school uniform.

I have been briefed regarding ACES Day. I'll be with our class on that day. I'll have to be a judge for the challenges and I know that you will get an extra point if I participate so maybe I'll join the Jumping Jack challenge because it's the easiest! LOL

Btw 1e1, I think you know that it's a class challenge so let's do our best ok?????!!!!! Let's do our best and beat the other classes!!!!! Can we do it?? Yes, we can!!!!! kekekeke

After the challenges, you have to change to your full school uniform and go for your classes. You have lessons as per normal for the next three periods so don't forget to bring your books for the 3rd to 5th periods. After that, you'll have a short break and we will proceed to the hall for the Teacher's Day concert. The concert will end around 12.15pm. After that you are allowed to go back and enjoy yourselves!!!!

Like I mentioned yesterday, it is really sad that our class can't perform for Teacher's Day. To Kareema, Umaimah, Syarifah, Diyana and Wesley (did I leave anybody out?), don't be too disappointed alright. Even if you don't get to perform, I'm extremely proud of all of you for taking that initiative to take up the challenge. If we have the time, I would like you to perform your dance in class. Can?

Here are the pics! I know most of you have been waiting for them. Anyway, I had a really good time, thanks to all of you! Another thing, we had a staff meeting last Tuesday and Ms Chew, the school's VP went through the truancy cases of each class. I am happy to announce that our class is one of the few with ZERO truancy cases!!! All of you have been attending school regularly and those who are absent have MCs or letters to account for the absence. That is why it is very important for you to give me MCs or letters if you are absent from school so that it will not be treated as a truancy case.

Please keep up the good attendance. It is very important for you to attend school regularly so that you will not miss out on any lesson and will not have difficulty catching up with schoolwork. Again, good job everybody! Keep it up!!

And let me tell you, six weeks is a very short time. So please start your revision NOW!!

And like I promise all of you last Monday, I will book a chalet for the class and we shall have a bbq if all of you don't go beyond position 70. Some have expressed their concern that the chalet will be fully booked if I don't book early. Don't you worry about that, I will find ways and means to get one. Just worry about doing well for your exams. If you keep within the target, I will keep my promise. I have faith in all of you. I know you can do it if you study hard enough! Gooo 1e1!!!

Happy Birthday to us too!!!! Since we are Singaporeans, it's our birthday too right?! Hope you guys enjoyed the concert yesterday. Too bad none of the 1E1ers joined the East Spring Superstar. Next time must be more sporting and join ok?! I'm sure some of you have the talent so why not let the talent shine?? I've heard that some have volunteered to perform for Teacher's Day...All the best! I hope the rest give their support. It'll be really fun if all of you can join in. I remember the whole class of 3E1 (this year they are in 4E1) performed for last year's Teacher's Day celebration. They did the High School Musical dance and it was really interesting to watch the strong camaraderie between all of them. All of them enjoyed themselves and there was unity among them. I hope to see this in all of you too. Again, all the best to those performing for Teacher's Day, you have my full support!!!!

Anyway, instead of having another blog for homework, why don't you just list your homework daily at this blog. Then you wouldn't have to check so many blogs. Sorry I have not posted anything for the past few days. Actually, I have been trying to create a photoslide for the Racial Harmony Day pics yesterday and the day before but just couldn't get it right!!!! Bella, help!!

Anyway, I have posted some pics here. I think most of you enjoyed yourselves that day and most of you participated enthusiastically. Good job!!! The only disappointment was that some of the boys did not try out the jawi writing. I think that you should give it a try instead of just sitting there doing nothing or worse, doodling on the big piece of paper!!! And yes, some boys were even caught washing their brushes at the water cooler!! I hope none of you will do anything so foolish in the future! I let the matter rest because the boys were held back by some teachers. I wouldn't be so forgiving in the future!! Please think before you do anything!

Hello 1E1ers! Heard SFL today was boring....mmmm....I'm sure if you listened attentively you would have picked up something useful.

Anyway, I was just thinking of something just now.... I know that most of you have blogs so if you would like to link your blog to our class blog, please let Bella know. Bella, can you please help out with the links? Thank you, Bella dear! It would be cool to link all your blogs to this class blog. BUT I understand perfectly if you would like to have your privacy. It can be pretty intimidating to know that a teacher has access to your blog but let me tell you that I totally respect your privacy and will not probe. And if you know me well, you will realise that I am a very understanding person...Hehehe.. But again, it's all up to you. If you are willing, just let Bella know ya. ;-)

I forgot to mention this...yesterday was Faiqah Hussin's Birthday so let's all wish her a Happy, Happy Birthday!!!!! Hope that all her wishes and dreams will come true.... Stay cute ya!! How I wish I'm 13 again....Sigh...

And also, Kai Chien's Birthday was on the 15th of this month so Happy Belated Birthday!!! Sorry the wish is late, I just got to know about it yesterday. And to the rest who had celebrated their birthdays before this, no matter when... Happy Belated Birthday!! Hope you had a fabulous time!

I realised that some of you have mentioned this already. Well, first of all, thank you sooooo much Billy and Jie Qi for representing the class as Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson. I think that both of you did a very good job, especially Billy. Kisses from me!! Muacccks!! Dont worry, online kisses only, not real ones!!! Hahaha!!

I know that it is not easy being chairpersons, you have to shoulder loads of responsibilities and not to mention, sometimes you are not appreciated for what you have done and hated and blamed too!!! But both of you have persevered through it all!! Good job!

And now, let us welcome our new chairperson and vice-chairperson, Yoyo and Wesley!!!! I'm sure both of you are chosen because of your qualities so, well done!!! Do your duties well and if you're not sure of anything, you can ask Billy, Jie Qi or myself. And to the others, please cooperate and don't give them a hard time alright! By the way, I'm sure Danny will do a wonderful job too but since he is not keen on the post and is more interested in IT, we shall let him continue his duty as Maintenance Head. ;-)

Also, I would like to congratulate Yoyo on winning the Star Award...again..hehe and this time round for Empathy. Congrats!! I'm sure most of you chose her because she is exemplary in her behaviour, attitude and manners. I'm also sure that all of you look up to her so try and be more responsible like her ok?? Hi everybody! Sorry I kind of like go missing these few days, was really busy with my good friend, Mr Harry Potter!!!! At last, I finished reading the book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!!! Hooray!!!!! I used to be able to finish the book in a day but with my baby, I can only read at night and that is usually around 2-6am!!!! But I just had to finish the book, just can't sit in peace not knowing what happens next!! I'm sure other Harry Potter fans will know what I mean... ;-) I am now like a zombie due to lack of sleep... :-(

Anyway, for those who want to borrow the book, just let me know yeah but you have to wait, I have about 5 people in the queue...hehehe

OK, what happens the past few days? Mmmm...first, I want to apologise to the basketball boys. I couldn't go to Anglican High because I had a meeting at the last minute. Don't be too discouraged even though you lost OK, getting this far is already commendable and I am proud of you!!! Anyway, for those who didn't know, they lost by only 6 points.

Next, I want to express my disappointment to those who did not submit their RISE projects on time, which was due on the 23rd of July (Mon). Even though the project was given way in advance, some groups still did not hand it on time. And what made it worse was that some groups did not even admit to me when I asked about the project. I hope this kind of behaviour will change. Please hand in your projects on time and be more responsible. Like I mentioned yesterday, I will deduct marks from those groups which handed in late.

Lastly, I have read the tagboard and realised that you have lots of tests coming up. I wish all of you the best. Like some of you mentioned, you must prove that you are the BEST!!!! Study hard and I hope all of you do well!!!

United We Stand

Thank you for all the opinions, comments and comforting words. You have restored my confidence in the class. But I do hope to hear from the people involved. I will not talk about this matter anymore after this. Just want to remind all of you to think before you do something because for every act, you must face the consequences. Kareema has admitted her mistake and felt sorry for it. She has also accepted her punishment. For the whole of next week, she is in charge of keeping the floor clean.

It is true like most of you said, conflicts are bound to happen. But I hope you will settle your differences in an amicable (friendly and pleasant) manner. You must learn to be more matured and learn how to handle conflicts well. Remember our class motto : United We Stand, Divided We Fall. It is so true, if we are united, we can overcome anything. We can be better and stronger. But if we are divided, we will not only fall but unhappy at the same time. So let's work together towards this motto, alright.

On a different note, this Monday is the opportunity for us to display our 'unitedness'. I hope all of you will give your support to our basketball boys, Hong Shen & Tian Shen. Let's cheer them on. If I'm not mistaken the match starts at 3 and maybe ends at 4+. I hope to see all of you but please seek permission from your parents first. It's ok if you cannot make it but for those who can, do come yeah. We shall tear Anglican High down with our roar!!!!!!!

Let's see...first let me express my gratitude to Kah Wei for volunteering to be the Treasurer of the class. Being a treasurer is not easy (it can never be easy when it involves $$$$...hehe).. Thank you Kah Wei for volunteering yourself for this challenging post. Do your duty well ya and if you face any problems, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Another new post...I have appointed Bella as my Blog Assistant...hehe... It's not an official post but important nonetheless. I have heard that she's good with computers so I approached her this morning and I am glad that she accepted the post readily. Thank you Bella!! As most of you are interested in a tagboard, I have asked her to include a tagboard for this blog. She will also monitor the blog and let me know of any unwanted or nasty comments. Hopefully she can beautify the blog too... ;-)

Tables & Cleanliness

I do not have time to check the tables today because I was busy preparing for a workshop. I hope that all tables have been wrapped and I do not have to waste my time scolding any of you.

I really seek your co-operation in these matters. When I give any task, I hope that the task is carried out without me having to make repeated reminders or resort to scolding. As I do not teach the class, it's really difficult for me to monitor the class all the time and I hope all of you carry out your duties and be more responsible. Please prove to me that all of you are responsible and trustworthy!

And another reminder, please ensure that the class is clean all the time. Like I said, everybody plays a part in maintaining the cleanliness of the class. If you see a litter near you, do pick it up and do not wait for somebody else to do it. Those on duty, please do your duty well. If all of us do our part, I'm sure we can maintain the cleanliness and study in a better environment. We want to maintain our 'Cleanest Class' title right??

Furthermore, like Mrs Lee (the DM) mentioned yesterday, please empathise with the old cleaners. We don't want to trouble them with our litter when we can actually do it ourselves. I'm sure they appreciate it too. Do remember....kindness go a looooong way... :=))

PSL & Prefects

I just found out today that Yoyo and Jerrold have been chosen as PSLs. Congrats! I hope that both of you will do your job well and do 1E1 proud! For Diyana and Faiqah Hussin, don't worry, you can try again next year. Don't be disappointed alright.

Actually, choosing the candidates for PSL was a really tough one. I know that more than half the class was interested. I am really proud that most students are interested because that shows that they are willing to lead and show initiative.

Like I said, it was really, really tough choosing the candidates because all of you actually qualified! The criteria is..... PSLs have to be committed, able to relate well with their peers, helpful and responsible. Almost all of you have these qualities! So Mrs Low and I have to narrow it down further. We realise that PSLs also have to be vocal, cheerful and charismatic. So in the end we chose Yoyo, Jerrold, Diyana and Faiqah H. For the rest, I hope that you are not too disappointed that you are not chosen. Be assured that Mrs Low and I are proud of all you.

The same goes for the prefects. You are chosen because of your leadership qualities. Please do your job well and we hope that one day, one of you will become Head Prefect!! ;-))

As promised, I've created a blog for our prestigious class...hehehe.. Although it's already the second semester...well...better late than never, right?? I will post pictures, useful information, reminders and whatever that is important here. Since I do not teach the class (except the Malay students), I feel that this is a good platform for me to pass important information and at the same time, get to know each and everyone of you better.

I am looking forward to comments and suggestions from all of you but here's an important reminder, no crude or harsh words allowed. I also do not want you to air your nasty comments, sarcasm or try and hurt anybody's feelings through this blog. This blog belongs to everybody and we should respect each other. If I find any unwanted comments, I will bring down this blog. Deal?????
